Prasanna is a dedicated and accomplished accounting professional working under Spectrum Health Group, following the successful merger with MediBizz. This merger significantly enhanced the capabilities and quality of the accounts team, where Prasanna continues to play a pivotal role in delivering financial excellence.
After spending his early years in Sri Lanka, Prasanna moved to Perth at the age of 20. He pursued higher education at Edith Cowan University (ECU), graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
As a Member of IPA Australia, Prasanna brings a strong foundation in financial accounting, internal financial reporting, payroll, superannuation, taxation, and bookkeeping; with a particular focus on supporting and improving small business operations. He is also a Registered BAS Agent and a Registered ASIC Agent (Australian Securities and Investments Commission), with plans underway to become a fully qualified Tax Agent.
Prasanna is a certified Xero advisor and highly proficient in industry-standard accounting software including QuickBooks and MYOB. Known for his adaptability, he quickly learns and navigates various systems and platforms with ease.
Prasanna commenced his role at MediBizz (now part of Spectrum Health Group) in November 2021 as an Assistant Accountant. His dedication and performance led to his promotion to Assistant Accounts Manager, where he continues to work alongside a highly qualified and experienced accounting team. He consistently demonstrates a proactive approach to learning, regularly updating his knowledge on evolving accounting standards, payroll requirements, and tax legislation to ensure ongoing compliance and value to the business.
In recognition of his dedication and outstanding contributions, Prasanna was proudly awarded Best Employee of the Year 2024–2025 .
